How to download audio from an Instagram Reel as MP3
Sometimes you only want the sound. Maybe it's a voiceover you want to hear again, or a clip you're using as a reference for your own edit.

InstagramFetch can take a public Reel link and give you the audio as an MP3. The steps match a video download, except you tap Extract Audio, then Get MP3.
A lot of Reel audio is licensed music. Saving it for personal listening is one thing, but putting it in your own published content can get you a copyright claim. Use Instagram's own "Use audio" button if you want it in a new Reel.
Steps

Open the Reel and tap Share, then Copy link.

Use the paste box on this page, or go to instagramfetch.com/instagram-audio-download (the audio from Reels tool is the shorter page for the same job).

Paste the link and tap Extract Audio.

Tap Get MP3 on the result.

Save the file. It goes to Downloads (Files app on iPhone).
