How to download Instagram Reels on Android

On Android, copy the Reel link, paste it into InstagramFetch in Chrome, and the video lands in your Downloads folder, which shows up in your gallery.

Public posts onlyNo Instagram login

You don't need a downloader app with a pile of permissions, and you don't log in to Instagram.

Public Reels work. Private accounts don't, and no honest tool can get around that without your login.

Steps

  1. 1

In Instagram, open the Reel and tap the Share (paper plane) icon.

  2. 2

    Tap Copy link.

  3. 3

Open Chrome (or any browser) and go to instagramfetch.com, or use the paste box on this page.

  4. 4

Long-press the input box and tap Paste.

  5. 5

    Tap Download.

  6. 6

When the preview shows, tap Download MP4 for the video.

  7. 7

Find the file in your Downloads folder or your Gallery/Photos app under Downloads.

Tip: If the Share menu doesn't show Copy link, tap the three dots on the Reel and look for Link or Copy link there.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the video go?

Usually the Downloads folder. Most gallery apps show it in an album named Download.

Does it work on Samsung, Pixel, Xiaomi and others?

Yes, any Android phone with a modern browser.

Is it free?

Yes. There's no paid tier to unlock downloads.

Is a watermark added?

No. You get the file as Instagram serves it.

Why did my download fail?

The post is probably private, deleted, or the link was copied wrong. Copy it again from the Share menu and retry.
